FAQs
Production process?
I love creating pottery! Each piece is made by my hands in my home studio and fired in an early 1980s manual kiln. Items are formed on the wheel, using slabs, or sculpted. I use carving tools, underglaze and food-safe glazes.
Microwave, dishwasher & oven safe?
Microwave: Most things can be microwaved for up to a few minutes. Black glitter glazed items are microwave safe. Items with gold detail or ammonite + crystal embellishments are not microwave safe.
Dishwasher: Most things are dishwasher safe, and I recommend it! Gold-detailed items last longer when hand washed, but can be put in the dishwasher. Black glitter glazed items are fine in the dishwasher. Items with ammonites + crystal embellishments canNOT go in the dishwasher.
Oven: As long as the item is heated up with the oven it can stand the heat. After all, it is cooked to over 2,000 degrees in the kiln!
Shipping & local pickup/delivery?
Shipping includes $5 to cover packaging and then is calculated by weight. Shipping occurs 1-3 days after receiving orders. I use very sturdy boxes and lots of recycled paper packaging to prevent breakage. However, if something does break, please take pictures of the packaging and the item, and keep all of it until the insurance claim has been processed. I can either recreate your order or provide a refund once the claim has been processed. Just email me with pictures and details, and I’ll start working on the claim. Hello@littlepeakpottery.com
I can deliver within 15 minutes for free in Durham, NC, or meet you at a public location. Please choose local delivery and follow instructions for communication to set up a delivery or a meeting point closer to you. For questions about this, feel free to email me at hello@littlepeakpottery.com.
You can also pick up the item from my home studio. I can meet you at my house, or leave the item in a secure location for porch pickup. The address is 9 Lucas Dr. in Durham. Please choose Local Pickup when purchasing, and follow the instructions to arrange pickup. Thanks!
Returns & exchanges?
Shop orders: I do not accept returns or exchanges on shop orders. Please read all the details provided and look at all the images posted before purchasing. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please email me and I’ll try my best to accommodate. Shipping and return shipping is never refunded.
Custom orders: You can email me at hello@littlepeakpottery.com to inquire about a custom order. I require a 100% deposit on custom orders. I can usually create these orders within 4-6 weeks. There is no custom order fee for orders within the realm of what I already do. For example, if they are a slight variation or reproduction of a past creation. For unique custom orders, an estimate will be provided. I only complete custom orders that are within my expertise and style. There are no refunds or exchanges on any custom orders, but I work very hard to make a long-lasting piece of art that meets your desires.
Classes: There are no refunds on class tickets. If the class is held outside, there will be 1 rain date provided in the listing. Check your availability for this date before purchasing. Please read through the class description and email me with any questions you have before purchasing. If you are unable to attend a class you signed up for, please email me ahead of time :)

You can buy an item you see on Instagram, at a market, or have seen in the past, but cannot find not in my shop. Just email me or DM me on Instagram with a screenshot and I’ll arrange purchasing.
Items cannot be reserved or put on hold. I can accept full payment on an item and hold onto it for you until you are ready, just email me about your needs.
I do some wholesale. Please email me information on what you are interested in ordering, and I’ll create a custom lookbook with pricing and details.

Do you sell at markets?
The highlight of my job! Most of my ready-made wares can be found at local markets in the triangle. I post planned markets on Instagram, so please follow me there for updates. Some of my favorite markets include the Flart Market at Artpost, First Friday at Morning Times in Raleigh, and Art N’ Soul at Mystic Brewing.
If you are hosting a market and would like me to set up a booth, please email me! I am always looking for new communities and people to meet. I typically do not travel more than 60 miles for a market, but there are exceptions.
Are you in stores?
Sometimes! When I have the capacity for wholesale, I do sell to local shops. My work is currently sold at Element Tree in both Black Mountain, NC and Savannah, GA locations, Curate Raleigh, Fusion Gallery Durham, Casa Bella Durham, and the Mug Club for Gizmo Brew Works.
